Biographical / Historical

Amon Liner was born in Charlotte on May 29, 1940. He was graduated from Kenyon College with a B.A. in English, UNC-Chapel Hill with a Masters of Drama, and UNC-Greensboro with an M.F.A. in Creative Writing. He edited poetry for the Red Clay Reader and reviewed books for The Charlotte Observer. His first book was Marstower (1972); his second, Chrome Glass (1976), came out the week that he died. Much of his work, such as "Rose, a color of darkness" was published posthumously.
