Collection — Box: SFC3 [F09.090.03.01], Folder: 361
Identifier: MS0361
Scope and Contents
Side one is a color rendering of the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC. The verso has a one-cent stamp featuring George Washington. Addressed to Miss Anne Batten, the note is typewritten and reads: "Dear Miss B., Don't let the picture on the outside fool ya. I still ain't interested in higher learning. I did go in there Sunday, though, and met Dickie Spangler there, of all people. I met the president yesterday and most of his cabinet today. This may sound hopeful, but I seem to be making an impression on some big radio men up here... and I'm meeting 'em by the dozen, guys I'd only read about. Coming home Saturday morn. Charlie"
