Scope and Contents
The map displays major waterways and county lines. Prepared probably to show territory of the County in preparation to divide or form Cabarrus County. At time of preparation, Mecklenburg included what is presently Union and Cabarrus Counties. Note that King's Mountain was then considered to be in NC. Map was drawn in 1789 by Gen. Graham and modified by his grandson in 1904. It was part of the 1904 book, General Joseph Graham and His Revolutionary Papers by Maj. Wm. A. Graham.
