Academic Library Development Program
Series
Scope and Contents
This series contains the working papers for the Academic Library Development Program (ALDP) implemented at UNC Charlotte in 1975 and sponsored by the Office of Management Studies of the Council on Library Resources. Included are the files of P. Grady Morein, project co-ordinator, Jordan M. Scepanski, assistant director of the library, and other papers created and collected by the ALDP Study Team and the task forces appointed to study various aspects of the library.
The series includes a historical profile of the library, analyses of library operations, progress reports, and documents relating to the routine conduct of the study. Much of the substantive material has been summarized in the Academic Library Development Program: a Self-Study (1976) that was transferred from the Library Director’s office and listed in this series. Also included from the director’s files is material pertaining to the application for an award from the Southeastern Library Association concerning the ALDP.
Files are arranged alphabetically.
