Overview Account book for a general goods store on North Tryon Street in Charlotte operated by James Kirk and Edwin Alexander, a son of Maj. Thomas Alexander. Entries begin on July 28, 1819 and go through March 28, 1821. Among those with accounts at the store were Thomas G. Polk, Samuel C. Caldwell, Isaac Alexander, and Robert Wilson.
