Overview The LGBT Community Center of Charlotte was established in 2001 to promote diversity, acceptance, and visibility of the LGBT community through original and collaborative programing and events. The collection includes minutes and agendas, invoices and budget information, a 501(c)(3) application, event booklets and pictures.

Darryl Logsdon collection of Charlotte LGBTQ publications

Scope and Contents The collection consists of LGBTQ publications produced in Charlotte, North Carolina. The bulk of the material comprises newsletters. First Tuesday (1989-1992), represents the largest and most comprehensive run in the collection (18 issues). Additional titles include North Carolina lesbian and gay pride (1993-1994), and Out Charlotte (1995).

Wesley Mancini papers

Overview The Wesley Mancini papers document the work of the Wesley Mancini Foundation as well as Mancini's textile design company, Wesley Mancini Ltd. Includes correspondence, grants and minutes from the foundation as well as numerous magazines and publications that feature articles about Mancini's textile firm and advocacy work.

Scope and Contents Included are materials generated by Pride Publishing & Typesetting, Inc., of Charlotte, publisher of QNotes, one of the oldest, continuously published LGBT community newspapers on the East Coast and the oldest in the Carolinas.

Overview Connie J. Vetter opened her law office in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1994. Her practice focuses primarily on the needs of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender individuals and couples. In addition to practicing law, Vetter is a mediator. Collection includes North Carolina State Bar Acceptance, Correspondence on the opening of the Southern Center for Law and Justice, and information about LGBTQ legal concerns, programs from performance.
