Overview Loney was an enslaved man in North Carolina. On January 2, 1865 he was approximately 27 years old. This document is a bill of sale dated January 2, 1865 for Loney. The buying enslaver was N. A. Wingate & Co. of Charlotte, North Carolina; and the selling enslaver was J. A. Bisaner, of Lincolnton. Loney was sold for $6,000 in Confederate currency.
